Week 7 Fabricated Seashells

Project 4 " Exaggeration of the human forum"

Project 4 for my sculptor class was an "Exaggeration of the human forum." In which my professor Mrs. Willcocks instructed us all think of a way to symbolize exaggeration of the body. We had to also think of at least two chose materials one traditional and the other none traditional. Are traditional materials was clay, silicon, and wood.
For this project I immediately thought of hair because many women use hair as an expression of their faminity. Also some religious culture use hair as a symbol of their faith. So my thought was to expand the length of hair which would be considered un normal. My chose materials was clay, clothe, and a plastic wig.
I also painted this figure so she would stand, instead of it being just a mass of hair. In this post I put a before and after images of the figure. One the top is the figure after I put hair on it, and the bottom pictures are the before with the figure without hair.

Project 3 "Stuff From The Garage Purse"

For this assignment our teacher for sculptor Mrs. Willcocks had assigned us to use our imagination and build an object that would somehow attach to our bodies.
The only thing I think up for this project was making a purse of some sort. So my design was for this project was to use found materials out of my garage and someway make it into a purse. The theme was supposed to represent male verses female, and how also purses now days can be exaggerated with its design.
Mrs. Willcocks recommended me to use wire for the structure for this purse because metal objects would look best with other metal objects. So for this pure I used metal wire and intertwined the metal objects that I found in my garage into the wire.
Also for this project we as students are supposed to document our objects in three different location and take picture of where we took our objects.
So this is my first documentation of my "Stuff From The Garage Purse." Which is in my car in the parking lot of my school.
